2026 NCDF Pelagic Tournament

$35 to Register for NCDF members ($55 for non-members) - Registration ends on July 29 at midnight

  • Starts: Saturday, July 25 at sunrise

  • Ends: Sunday, August 9 at 12:00 PM (noon)

Raffle details

  • Tickets: $5 each or 5 for $20 open to everyone— CASH ONLY

  • During the tournament you may earn bonus raffle tickets by removing large trash (e.g., balloons) from the ocean:

    • Photo of you with the trash item required

    • Limit: up to 3 bonus tickets per person

  • NEW FOR 2026: Each fish you submit earns 1 free raffle ticket (maximum 5 free tickets per person)

Fish submission & rules (read carefully)

  • Submit fish here

  • Biggest fish, by weight, wins

  • Eligible species: pelagic fish only

  • Fishing area: within California or Mexico waters (no specific boundary limit). California regulations apply to all submitted fish (no billfish or sharks).

  • All fish submissions must be caught and landed by spear and entered online within the tournament dive window.

  • Fish must be weighed on a digital scale on land within 24 hours of returning to shore. Fish reported more than 24 hours after return will be disqualified.

  • Fish must be gilled, gutted and bled.

  • One independent witness is required for each submission.

  • Required photo: you with the fish and the scale weight clearly visible.

  • Fish catch details and weights will NOT be made public during the first week of the tournament. No weights will be revealed until the awards ceremony.

Notes

  • Follow all local fishing regulations and safety practices.

  • Keep digital copies of your weigh-in photos and witness info for verification.
